IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated that the war against Hamas will not be over until the last of the deceased hostages held in Gaza are returned, remarks made during a conference today with all operational unit commanders ranked lieutenant colonel and above. The IDF described the gathering as the start of a “learning process” for 2026, with a similar conference planned next week for reservist commanders.
