TWO SOLDIERS KILLED IN LEBANON:

Sgt. Maj. Maher Khatar, 38, from Majdal Shams, a combat engineering equipment operator in the 91st Division of the Combat Engineering Corps, was killed in battle in southern Lebanon.

In the same incident in which Sgt. Maj. Maher Khatar was killed, another soldier also fell. His family has been notified, but his name has not yet been cleared for publication and will be released later.

In addition, a combat officer was lightly wounded in the incident and was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment. His family has been notified.
