Some Israelis were surprised to wake up Tuesday morning to suspicious SMS messages believed to be part of an Iranian propaganda and recruitment campaign targeting Israelis across the country.

The message read: “The Islamic Republic of Iran invites you to cooperate in the field of intelligence. To cooperate, contact Iranian embassies in various countries or one of the Iranian cyber operators on the internet. Build your future now.”
