Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the future of the Strait of Hormuz “will never be like its past,” signaling that ships transiting the vital waterway may face new costs under any future arrangement.

Araghchi said charging tolls is “not acceptable,” but added that fees for services provided in the Strait would be required, insisting that “there will be costs here, and fees must be paid.”
