One thing Hillary Clinton has not done over the past four years, other than texts from Hillary, is connecting with the new generation of social media junkies. As the 2016 chatter continues, one indication Clintons team might lean toward the latter in 2016, according to Politico: She is likely to soon start posting to the soon-to-be-activated @hillaryclinton on Twitter, signaling her first personal foray into the medium outside her official State Department account, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Katie Stanton a young Twitter executive, former Obama campaign tech team member and State Department internet guru has joined the Clinton camp to develop a social media strategy.
She wants to hear many voices, not simply retreads a huge Help Wanted sign for people who know what theyre doing, a senior Democrat, who has worked with Clinton for years, told Politico.
People who have worked for her. People who beat her. People who beat Romney. People who can think of the next big advance in data mining, the next big trend in social media. Names youve never heard, from outside of Washington. A mix of old and new, truly inclusive. To the extent theres an inner circle, the diameter has increased by multiples to make room for new people with new skills and new perspectives. Instead of the Clinton Team of Rivals, just a good team. Even if she hasnt known them from the dawn of time.
