Local Mother with Mental Illness Cries Out for Help!!

My name is Elisheva*. I am 23 years old and am divorced living at home with my son.

8 years ago, I was diagnosed with a severe mental illness that I have been battling until today. I have been in therapy for many years, as well as hospitals and rehabilitation programs. Baruch Hashem, today I am a full-time mother to my child.

Being a mother while trying to battle an illness is very hard, but being a single mother when trying to battle an illness is even harder. I am self-supporting. I have a full-time job and pay all my own bills, including rent and all. I just about make it at the end of the month with the paycheck I bring home. With family living out of town and with rare to no family support, it makes things all that much harder.

I have not been in therapy for the past few months now since I do not have the means to pay for it, and I notice a huge difference in my emotional health, as well as my physical health. I desperately need to start seeing a therapist again! My son needs his mother back!

I am not asking for a large amount, I am just looking, for now, to cover the next few months of therapy. The course of treatment I need is a minimum of 6 months and since my therapist feels I need to be committed before I begin, I need to raise enough funds to cover at least until then. Each and every penny is appreciated! Please open up your kind hearts to help me in my mission to become a healthier me!

Tizku Lemitzvos.
