Flatbush – NYPD hits car while responding to emergency

IMG_5041.jpgIMG_5032.jpgIMG_5030.jpgLast evening in Flatbush a NYPD van while driving with its lights and sirens passed an intersection (kings Highway & East 24th) without slowing down and checking for passing vehicles, hit a car being driven by a Frum person. B”H there were no serious injuries. Naturally the police officers on the scene tried to place the blame on the driver of the civilian car by telling her that she was talking on her cell phone at the time. B”H her cell phone log can clearly tell a judge that she was NOT talking on the phone and the officers were just careless in not coming to a complete stop [when having a red light] and checking for passing cars before proceeding, no matter how great the emergency is (as is the LAW). This is just another typical example how police officers think hey can get away with whatever they want to.

  1. one of the requirements to become a member of nypd is having a valid drivers license
and as you write the people charged with upholding the law arent above keeping the laws they are sworn to uphold
