AUDIO: Anti-Semite NYC Councilman Charles Barron Talks About Israel

[AUDIO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

Brooklyn – Mayor Ed Koch, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Councilman David G. Greenfield, Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein, Councilman Michael Nelson, Councilman Brad Lander and other elected officials and community leaders will hold a press conference on Monday, June 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan to denounce hateful comments and actions made by City Councilman Charles Barron. Specifically, Barron has referred to Israel as a “terrorist state” and has compared Israel to the Nazi regime.

Charles Barron is running in the Democrat primary against Hakeem Jefferies on June 26.

The newly drawn Eighth Congressional district doglegs across the borough from Downtown to Coney Island, and includes Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford-Stuyvesant, East New York, Mill Basin, Canarsie and even a bit of southwestern Queens.

Mr. Barron, a councilmember since 2001, is a former Black Panther and member of the Black Liberation Front.

In June of 2010, Councilman Greenfield called Barron an “Anti-Semite of the highest order”, after Barron compared the IDF Navy blockade on the Gaza Strip to Holocaust concentration camps.

The audio below is Charles Barron being interviewed on the Zev Brenner Radio Show in 2005.

  1. Seems like Barron actually has a good chance to win the primary. Obviously, whoever wins the primary in this district will win the general election.
It would be crazy if the most anti-Israel representative in Congress will be the one representing Seagate, Marine Park, Coney Island, Brighton Beach, and Mill Basin.
Every registered Democrat in the district needs to vote on June 26.
