Hamas Newspaper Addresses the Disappearance of Avraham Mengistu

amThe ‘Palestine’ newspaper, the official Hamas newspaper, in its Saturday July 11, 2015 edition speaks of Ashkelon resident Avraham Mengistu, who entered Gaza about 10 months ago and has not been heard from since.

According to Israeli officials, Mengistu is in Gaza as reported along with an Israeli Bedouin whose name is not being released. In addition, Hamas is still holding the remains of IDF soldiers Lt. Hadar Goldin and Sgt Oron Shaul, both killed during last summer’s Operation Protective Edge. Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and other state officials promise everything is being done to bring the remains of the soldiers’ home for kvura in Israel.

There are already shouts from the Bayit Yehudi party not to release any additional terrorists in return for the Israelis, both deal and alive. The dati leumi party during the previous 19th Knesset did vote to permit releasing terrorists in exchange for a green light for continued construction in Yehuda and Shomron. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu last week met with the parents of Mengistu in their Ashkelon home in an effort to assure them that everything possible is being done to bring Avraham home.

  1. They shouls give all Palestinian prisinors a lot of extra garlic or black pepper in their food -let it burn them – until prisoners are returned.
Or, since they’re sooooooo concerned about world opinion, put zero spices or salt into their food TASTE FREE, until iur captives are safely returned!

  2. Every time an Israeli is held (dead or alive), the Israelis should go in guns blazing. How do you negotiate with people that don’t respect anything?
