HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita during the predawn hours Sunday morning 10 Sivan 5774 headed towards Yerushalayim. The rav traveled to the Kosel and then Kever Rochel, a first visit to the Kever in many years.

The gadol hador davened vosikin at the Kosel and then continued to Kever Rochel. Those close to Rav Chaim call the visit to Kever Rochel “historic” since the rav has not been there in many many years.

Regarding the rav’s davening at the Kosel it is explained it was תשלומין for not getting to the Kosel during Shavuos.

Regarding the visit to Kever Rochel, Rav Chaim was mispallel for rachmanus on behalf of Klall Yisrael at this time because as he is quoted as saying “המשיח נמצא בדלת ממש ולא רק עומד בפתח”.
