The terrorist who murdered Yaron Lischinsky Hy”d, and Sarah Milgrim, H’yd, was identified as Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old resident of Chicago.
Witnesses said that Rodriguez told the police as before being arrested, “I did it, I did it for Gaza. Free Palestine!”
Rodriguez was a member of the far left-Marxist pro-Palestine group, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), which accuses Israel of “genocide” on its social media pages.
In 2020, he made a political donation to Joe Biden.
In 2017, he participated in a protest over the death of a black teenager who was shot by a Chicago police officer.
“The wealth that Amazon has brought to Seattle has not been shared with its Black residents,” Rodriguez was quoted at the time in PSL’s Liberation newspaper.
“[Amazon’s] whitening of Seattle is structurally racist and a direct danger to all workers who live in that city. So do we in Chicago and all across the country want a nation of cities dominated and occupied by massive corporations where only the rich and white can live and the vast majority of us must live on the edges of the city and society living in deeper and deeper poverty?”
He held a BA in English from the University of Illinois and worked in the administration of the American Osteopathic Information Association in Chicago.. In the past, he worked as an oral history researcher at the History Makers, a black history project started by Carnegie Mellon University.

One can be the smartest person with the best degrees and still end up being a brutal killer. Without the fear of Hashem will lead to the smart individuals to do horrific actions. As Abraham Avinu said so many years ago on the Torah, that there was no fear of Elokim in this place. So too, let us be very apprehensive to stay away from the frenzied mob that is screaming hate to us Jews, as these people have no fear of Hashem and are capable of doing the worse things imaginable. Let us unite and respect each other and cry out to Hashem to protect all of us Jews wherever we live from these crazy times where so many people are screaming and yelling at us and placing false accusations against us. May Hashem protect us all in these dangerous times.
