The Hezbollah terror organization attempted to assassinate Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo in a drone attack during an operational tour in southern Lebanon several weeks ago, IDF officials revealed on Thursday.
Milo narrowly survived the assassination attempt, exiting his vehicle along with another officer moments before the drone exploded. B’Chasdei Hashem, no one was injured in the incident.
According to the report, Hezbollah fired a FPV (first-person view) explosive drone at an IDF convoy while Milo was touring a village in southern Lebanon alongside senior officers and troops.
