  1. According to the news, “the Monticello area remains without power [and]…without water.”
Well, we know that the Ribbono Shel Olam is the ultimate power Who has brought this about. So, what message can we find in this event, happening at the very start of this year’s summer exodus to the mountains?

Maybe that it’s time for this nonsense to end? Maybe that hopping from golus-place A to golus- place B–to create a more comfortable environment for ourselves–is exactly the wrong thing to be doing at this time? Instead of planning how to beat the traffic on Route 17, maybe Hashem is telling us to start planning with Nefesh b’Nefesh
to go home to Eretz Yisrael. The geula is imminent folks. It’s time to stop behaving like everything is status quo. Storm clouds have gathered in the Catskills…we ignore it at our risk.
