To the Owners and/or Moderators of TYW,

Any reason my important comments posted yesterday 20/11 were not published?

P.S. Caroline and I have been in Jerusalem since 14/9/2023. We arrived in Eilat on 13/9 after spending 7 days in Jordan and 8 days in Saudi Arabia.

Just wasn’t really sure who you are, where you’re coming from, or what your message was about. Nothing personal.

As other commenters have pointed out, “anyPotatoKugelLeft” is a Mesichist Lubavitch who is promoting a so called “authoritative” and independent text created and amplified by his sect on whether Moshiach can come from the dead.

To Yserbius123, to answer your two questions:

    (1) Yes. (I have known since 2002).

    (2) Sort of…

    Correction:

Rabbi Ahron Soloveichik died on October 4th 2001, but the purported responsa Sechel83’s refers to is still fraudulent, no matter the exact chronology of it’s publication.

    To Yabia Omer,

Think of world jewry, 15,000,000 people now, as a ship. Call it the HMS Israel if you like. Now the ship should be be commanded by the best and brightest people yes. These real leaders need to be up on the bridge of the ship to audit the conditons, and then to counsel, warn and admonish so that the ship continues in the direction G-d wants it to go. An alive and breathing officer team working dynamically 24/7/365, with shifts for rest, maintenace and play of course, is required on the bridge at all times. (Think of the bridge like a Situation Room). If the crew, who are tasked with protecting the passengers/taxpayers/ticket holders and providing them with a safe voyage, do not heed the advice of the most qualified Captain and his First Mate, then the ship will founder in the doldrums at best or hit an iceberg at worst with the result of a great loss of life.

The Moral of The Story: If the fair dinkum Moshiach is currently being silenced, censored, ostracised, sidelined or undermined then the ship is imperilled because the crew is trusting the advice of the wrong captain. Thus the identity and counsel of the “Mountain of the House of the L-rd”/the highest wisdom of the current day should he recognised and heeded.

    To Sechel83,

As provaxx has clearly stated, Rabbi Soloveitchik died in 1993, and could not have written the letter you’re referring to. Also… Posting this alleged reponsa from Rabbi Soloveitchik in modern day Hebrew here does not make it more credible. All you are doing is trying to bolster/reinforce a false argument that a dead man can be Moshiach.

In 1992, as a 27 year old, I considered this question in great depth and with much research. I decided then that there are no aliens anywhere in the universe. Human beings are the only beings endowed with real intelligence in all of creation. The first few chapters in Genesis explain things quite cleary. Nothing I have read, heard or experienced since that year has changed my opinion.

Your question is a good one.

Looking at historical examples of how wise people dealt with various difficult situations is instructive. (Too many people today believe that they are smarter than those who came before them. An arrogant delusion.)

But I suggest going back to circa 1300 bce to learn how a great man dealt with dis-ease…

Moses and the Hebrews after forty years of right action and healthy living rose to such great spiritual, intellectual and physical heights that they literally changed human history forever. Their immune systems were bolstered by right living. (They climbed the Tumah Ladder.) And of course before this time, the Hebrews in the Delta of Egypt who heeded Moses were able to mount defences and take effective measures against the ravages of the Ten Plagues. Several of which, I’m sure, were actually viruses.

I have presented the following Multiple Choice Question to various people over the last 15 years. (How people answer this explains a lot about their “Judaism” and Religious perspective.)

    Do you think “Moshiach” :

A- Is a type of Polish stew best served in winter.

B- Is a silly old concept with no relevance to today. (Many Reform, Progressive, Liberal, Conservative/Masorti Jews believe this.)

C- Is satisfied by the State of Israel itself. i.e. It does not imply an actual person. (The Uber Zionist position)

D- Has already lived and will return in a Second Coming. (The Evangelical Christian and Mishichist Lubavitch “M.M.Schneerson is Moshiach” view.)

E- Has not been born yet. He is yet to come.

F- Is a metaphor for an age of peace. i.e. It does not imply an actual person. (Ditto B above et al.)

G- Is alive and breathing right now doing his work.

I wonder how shocked many people would be if (G) is shown to them as the correct answer now. As I have realised since 1995 there are different levels of awareness. There most certainly is a hierarchy of awareness/wisdom in the world now in late July 2018.

    Stay Tuned…

The Redemption of Humankind and the World is a process that unfolds over time. It is not a one-off/click-of-the fingers event.

It has actually been underway for quite awhile now, as the person described by Maimonides’ Twelfth Article of Faith has been doing his correcting/educating/counter-balancing work down here on terra firma since late 1995.

Readers of this article and these comments may like to answer the following Multiple Choice Question. (I have presented it to quite a few people since 2002.) How you answer it says a lot about your frame of reference/religious beliefs/Judaism.

Har Sinai, the place where Moses brought down the Ten Commandments circa 1280 bce, is situated in the southern corner of the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt.

    Coordinates: 28°32′23″N 33°58′24″E

We lived in Di Zahav, Sinai for 9 months from May 2013 to early Feb. 2014. I have done a great deal of research on the Exodus story, תכלת etc.

P.S. I believe Shavuot is the most important of the Jewish Holy Days. Why? No Moses and the Ten Commandments = No Western Civilisation.
