There are oddballs and fanatics in every group. I’m sure that the idiots chanting and burning stuff do not represent all Neturei Karta. It’s the same everywhere else. You see 5 crazy Jewish/Christian /Black/White/Mormon/Tall/Short/Californian (fill in however you like) people …. Does that make them all nuts?

Also if anyone knows anything about the girl from BP who was involved in an accident. I believe it was her and her pregnant mother who were run over by a car. I think the name was Chaya Sara bas Bracha. Anyone knows how she is doing?

Are you asking about the mother? The girl unfortunately passed away shortly after the accident.-79

Argue about which route to take for 30 minutes. Spend the next 30 minutes arguing about the everything everyone did over the last 5 years. Decide on a route. Sit in traffic. Argue over which route we should actually have taken. Repeat annually.

Just be very careful. There are lots of scams out there. RULE: Anything that seems to good to be true IS. Just use your G-d given common sense and you should be all right.

flatbusher: The young man in question comes from a family with no Yichus, and no money. These things don’t matter to him. He just thought they were finally getting someplace. That’s all. In all honesty, I’m kinda glad she dropped it though. I’d hate for him to get stuck with someone like that.

I agree 100%.Thanks for your input everyone. People should be taken for who they are/aren’t not who great-grandpa was. I think it’s more a status symbol than anything else.

Check out the book “The Garden of Emunah” by Rabbi Shalom Arush. It can be bought on Amazon or in any Jewish bookstore.Translated into several languages.

Gamzultova: I sense a little bit of judgement on your part. Let me just say this: The cost of living (especially in the frum community)is expensive. Food, clothes, tuition…everything costs more by us. You work like a dog, but things come up. It’s hard to make a living even when you make do with just the necessities. I don’t have a rich daddy or daddy-in-law to support me, never did. I’m not saying that you do, all I’m saying is don’t judge. Everyone would love to be self-sufficient. It’s not always possible. And when it comes down to pride or providing for your family-you swallow your pride and sign up.

I’ve been there. I know the struggle. This is my 3 step program.

1)Before you do anything ask Hashem for help. Sincerely daven EVERY morning (in whatever language you prefer), tell Him about this difficulty, and ask Him to help you stop.

2)Find a hobby. Do something that you love. Take a course, paint, knit, exercise, cook, eat, jog, start a blog, or something easy and light to unwind after a long day…be adventurous and try new stuff. You must keep yourself busy. Being bored will lead to trouble.

2)Toss it. Delete them from your computer, toss out the discs, install a filter to block you from those sites and don’t write down the password. Do what you have to to make sure you stay away from it.

The reason why I wrote find a hobby before tossing is that you need to have something to do instead of watching. You can’t just stop cold turkey and have nothing to do in it’s place.

It’s very difficult to do, but you’ll be a better person for it.

    Much Hatzlachah.

Getty’s makes the best. And kugel-wise, Nussy’s on Main St. is the king. I stop in there whenever I’m in Monsey and I love it.

Secretagentyid- A little piece of advice: there is no such thing as a secular novel (or movie) that is 100% clean, unless you’re reading nonfiction. I don’t know you, I don’t know your background is, but take it from someone who knows what they’re talking about: it will affect you even if you think it won’t. So, if you are serious about Avodas Hashem, and if emes really is your middle name, do yourself a favor and don’t do it.

I don’t think this is an issue of Miami per se. It really is a matter of Shmiras Einayim. You can’t live in a cave, but if you care at all about protecting yourself you may want to be careful about where you go.

You might want to consult a professional. This is too important to rely on the advice/opinions of fellow YWNers.
