it could have something to do with preventing bitul Torah, you dont have to spend extra time choosing what to wear so you could spend that extra time learning, or getting to Yeshiva earlier.

i suggest sitting down with your son (or maybe he would like to do this alone) and make a list of all the qualities he wants, then narrow it down to a few. make sure that these qualities are what’s important to HIM and not anyone else! were talking about HIS wife and HIS marriage -no one else’s.

I understand that saying no to your children can sometimes be very hard. but if you don’t want your children to go on the internet then you must take the tablet away no matter how hard it is.

if s/he is using the tablet just to play games then you can just get some other game-boy or something similar that does not have internet access (and are much cheaper btw).

if your child needs to use some other program on the tablet then im sure you can find some other device or service that can help you in the same way that does not have internet. -it might be hard to find at first but its out there.

Wow! thanks everyone for helping me make my decision much easier!

About the old Sem. im still not so clear about what types of girls go there and who gets accepted.

I dont go to Beis Yaakov but im in a frum school and i would like to go to a place where I could grow to reach my full potential. But Whats the criteria for the old sem?

Yehuda Tzvi, the most important thing is to daven for yourself. HaShem listens closely to the tefilos of cholim. also if you daven for others then yourself, HaShem answeres you first.

    Refuah Shelaima!

bekitzur, i understand that you are very bored in class, but maybe this is just HaShem testing you to see if you could fight the boredom and really focus on what the teacher is saying. Torah is very deep, you are never done learning.

you could also just respectfully speak to your teachers about this issue. Im sure they will be happy that you spoke to them and will help you. if you find more girls who feal the same way maybe you can speak to your principle and make make an even higher level class.

if you feal that the teacher is very easy or going to slow, you can always look in the Chumash, navi, etc… for different meforshim (in english and/or hebrew) on what you are learning because Torah is very deep and there is so much to learn!

also ask questions and make apropriate comments on what you are learning in class.

These should make Limudei Kodesh classes more interesting.
