Nachlas is def an amazing place, warm, fun and real. The learning is almost all text-based but you learn hashkafa through that. There is a wide variety of teacher so that there is someone for everyone – you may like some teachers’ styles more than others. The work is hard but not busy work. There are reports and tests but not like the type that u have 2 learn the whole sefer shmuel on u’re own…

I agree with all cutie pie has to say and more…it’s an awesome place in all areas. There is a huge mix in Nachlas but they are all solid, frum BY girls who want to grow. There are in and out of towners and they focus very strongly on middos

Nachlas has solid, well-rounded girls who are bnos aliyah. They are academic but know how to have fun. Their hashkafos are to teach the girls to come to their own conclusions and do what’s right without telling them exactly what to do. Because of this approach, the girls grow in a solid way, without all the fluff. They are unique in that their mission statement is warmth. They treat the girls like family and are there for anything you need. For example, when I was in sem I got sick while the principals were in America giving interviews which is obviously a very hectic and busy time for them. I received a message on my cell phone while they were traveling from 1 city to the other wishing me a refuah shleima and letting me know that they were thinking of me. That is just one of the countless examples I can think of, of their warmth and care. And you’re right, they are definitly in a great location which means they don’t have 2 be hanging out in Geula to get things they need….

iluvhashem – it doesn’t mean u don’t learn hashkafa the rest of the time it just means that 1 class is dedicated only to that. Most sems want u to learn hashkafa through the text. That is the point of all those rambans… usually when u have a speaker or s/o just spouting hashkafa without a text it’s very interesting but doesn’t stay with u for very long

Yeah there are a lot of out-of-towners as well as in-towners. There are also some S. African, Australian and British and a few Swiss this year.

Nachlas is really, really warm and down-to-earth. They try to help the girls grow in a grounded way without fluff….The girls are a massive mix – the first day e/o is always wondering what is going on cause it seems so random but in the end e/o learns to appreciate each other. There are a lot of out-of-towners and the girls usually also apply to BJJ, Hadar, BYA, Bnos Chava, Masores Rochel. I think it’s more academic than Seminar and prob also warmer but I didn’t go to Seminar so can’t help with that. Seminar might also have more of a range of frumkeit…

The main thing about Nachlas is that it is extremely warm and they really, really care about you! The staff is amazing! It is frum but down-to-earth and open-minded with a huge mix of girls. It’s quite academic but also fun. Do you have any specific questions?

Sorry – couldn’t find the post. It depends why you’re grades are like that…if you’ve been trying hard and those r your grades there might be too much pressure and work for you. Most of the girls have higher averages and it may be hard for you to keep up.

Bymeidel – Nachlas is a huge mix with some yeshivish girls but they are not the majority. I’m just curious – which school do u go to? It’s worth it to apply – if they want you – they’ll take u regardless of school

You should all look into Nachlas. It is strictly BY but not close-minded. They are very real and not into fluff…They don’t believe in brainwashing but want each girl to use her individual personality for avodas Hashem. They are also extremely warm and fun. If you have any specific questions about it I would be happy to help.

They have similar academic levels – the main difference between them is that Nachlas is extremely warm. They focus on giving each individual girl what she needs in order to get the most out of the year. If you talk to an ex-Nachlas girl she will rave about how much the Nachlas staff cares about each girl! They also try to make sure that the girls grow in a real, internal way…they do not believe in brainwashing. There is a huge mix of girls there but they encourage normalcy and being down to earth.
