See the Baal Haturim Parshas Bo Perek 12 Pasuk 9 who says the final geula will be like the first geula where no one should go out of their house.

We are seeing the siman mentioned in the last mishna in maseches Sotah of what will happen before Moshiach comes.. Zekenim Yaamdu – the older people will be standing, why? Mipney ketanim, because the kids grabbed their seats before they could get there. So we know that we’re holding right before Moshiach comes.

Hashem knows things that you don’t know. Although it seemed to you that this was the right one, there was something that you were not aware of that Hashem knew would hurt you later, so He stopped the shidduch from going through to save you. You may feel devastated now, but it was really for the best.

I heard in the name of Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz zt’l that when you hurt another Jew it’s like putting your hand in fire. If you see someone’s wallet fall into the fire and you stick your hand in the fire to save the wallet from burning up – what are you going to say “I had good intentions, why did my hand burn”?

So too, Penina had good intentions, but still she hurt Chana very badly. Every Yom Tov when you’re supposed to be happy, Chana had to hear Penina’s shtuchs and farshter her whole Yom Tov – so Penina had to pay the price.

I realize that this season is over, but you can order them in advance for next season, or you can buy baseball game tickets for the date of your anniversary.

Since he likes sports, buy him tickets to a basketball game – get great seats and be sure it’s a game against a team he would want to see.

There are boys who seem like “cream of the crop” on paper – yichus, smart, tall, handsome, muscular ,etc. but some are so arrogant, and will turn out to be bad husbands. I have seen this with many boys I knew in Yeshiva. I would never want my daughter anywhere near these boys. On the other hand, some boys who some would consider “nerds’ end up being terrific husbands. Look for a boy that will be great husband, not a trophy that you want to impress others with.

The same Taz that says that you don’t eat in the succa once you made an early Shmini Atzeres, that same Taz says you can’t daven Mariv early on Shavuos night. The Taz holds that making Shabbos or Yom Tov early only affects the halachos of Shabbos and Yom Tov, but it’s still still Friday or Erev Yom Tov in regard to Mila, hefsek tahara for a nida, etc. Therefore if you’d make an early Shavous you wouldn’t be allowed to do melacha, but it’s still daylight outside so you wouldn’t have Temimos. That’s why he says you must wait until Tzeis to daven Mariv.

If the computers were on the 1st floor, I can possibly hear what you’re saying. But if they were on the 3rd floor with Bin Laden as I would guess they would, he would have had several minutes to destroy such sensitive information about the orginization that he lead. You’d think that they’d even have it set to blow up with a push of a button for just such an emergency.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the report of the seizure of computers and disks is DISINFORMATION by the US to scare and confuse existing Al Quieda leaders. As I wrote before, don’t you think Bin Laden or the others there would have at least tried to destroy those computers before they fell into their enemies hands? They had at least a few minutes to do that.

    Sacrilege,

The reports say that Bin Laden was reaching for his weapon when the SEALS came into his room, Bin Laden was not involved in the firefight. My question is why didn’t he grab his weapon before they came in if he intended to fight to the death and not surrender? You are right on your second point, no one will tell, especially if his daghter’s version is the real truth.

Ask if he’s a smoker and be sure to get the correct honest answer since many friends and even rabeim will try to avoid answering that if he is a smoker. If the girl can’t live with the terrible smell of cigarettes or doesn’t want someone who isn’t concerned with his health, she should ask this question before going out, don’t find this out after many dates and then have to break it off. Don’t rely on his promise to quit after the engagement, he may not have the willpower to quit this addictive habit.
