Tragedy in Yerushalayim – Child Struck & Killed by Bus


A 11-year-old chareidi boy was R”L struck and killed by a bus on Wednesday evening on Eidelson Street in the Ramot neighborhood of the capital. Ichud Hatzalah responders reported that sadly, the child was killed immediately. A physician pronounced him dead on the scene.

One of the first EMTs on the scene was David Steinberger, who reports that he saw the child on the street, apparently struck by a bus, not at an authorized crosswalk.

It appears the child was standing near the curb with his sister when he lost his balance and fell and apparently was struck by a passing bus. Another report states he was struck between buses. Police are questioning the driver as they try to piece together the events of the fatal incident.

Levaya details to be announced. There are conflicting reports regarding the child’s age as the incident occurred a short time ago, at 18:15.
