Numerous Children Struck By Vehicle In Chinatown; 2 Reportedly Killed

ywbn115.gif[UPDATED BELOW] 12:20PM EST: At least eleven children were struck by a van in Chinatown in Lower Manhattan and at least two of them were pinned under it.

Sources tell YWN that at least two children have�been pronounced dead, another is in serious condition, and at least 8 with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident occurred at 38 East Broadway off of Catherine Street.

The NYPD has requested a Level 1 mobilization response, and the NYPD Highway AI Squad is responding for the�investigation.

Hatzolah was not requested to the scene of this tragic accident.

UPDATE 1:33PM EST: The total patient count is 16 (2 adults, and 14 children). The van reportedly made an illegal u-term, and backed into a crowd of children on the sidewalk – pinning three children under the vehicle.
