PHOTO LINK BELOW: A person was shot Tuesday night outside of an apartment building in the heart of Flatbush.

Sources tell YWN that 3 shots were fired at a person standing outside of an apartment building on Ocean Avenue between Avenue J & Avenue K at approximately 10:00PM.

A quick response by officers from the NYPD’s 70th pct resulted in an arrest of the suspect, and the weapon used in the shooting was recovered.

FDNY (EMS) treated a person for gunshot wounds, and transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.

Shootings and other crime is not too common in this area, and officers from Community Affairs responded to the scene to ensure that everything is done to ensure the safety of the community.

Although it is not confirmed, the incident does not appear to be a random shooting, but most probably involved drugs, or a dispute.
