SHOCKING: Podcast King Joe Rogan Defends Ilhan Omar, Repeats Antisemitic Tropes

Joe Rogan, who has millions of listeners to his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, has been accused of anti-Semitism while expressing support for Ilhan Omar after she was kicked off the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Rogan said that Omar’s “apologizing for talking about it’s ‘all about the Benjamins,’” should have been enough to save her job.

“It’s just about money — she’s just talking about money,” Rogan said. “That’s not an anti-Semitic statement, I don’t think that is.”

“Benjamins are money. The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s [expletive] stupid. It’s [expletive] stupid,” he insisted.

Rogan then said that “whether you agree with her or not,” Omar had shared “a bold opinion” and “that opinion is not her own — there’s many people that have that opinion, and they should be represented.”

Critics have taken issue with Rogan’s remarks, blasting the podcaster for his ridiculous comment.

“For the hard of understanding, ‘Jews are into money’ is not like ‘Italians are into pizza,’” David Baddiel — the author of a book about anti-Semitism called “Jews Don’t Count” — said.

“Because unless my history lessons really missed something out, no-one has exterminated a large section of the entire Italian community because of their love for pepperoni,” he quipped. “Also, Joe Rogan has a 200 Million dollar deal with Spotify. And yet apparently it’s Jews who are into money.”

“Disturbing that at a time of rising anti-Jewish violence, when growing numbers of Americans believe in antisemitic conspiracy theories, @joerogan would use his immense platform to spew antisemitic tropes about Jews and money,” tweet ADL CEO Jason Greenblatt.

  1. Whether or not its offensive to say Jews are into money, Joe Rogan clearly missed the boat; the very fact that ilhan Omar has conflated Israel with world Jewry, shows us that all of her hateful views and rhetoric against Israel were really intended against all Jews. Frightening, to say the least….

  2. Joe Rogan is an individual looking for ratings and is a horror….Ilhan Omar is worse , why it even is standing on this page is off the wall ,,,,,criminal minds and dirty hands and pockets

  3. I suspect that the ADL criticizing Joe Rogan, who really hasn’t said anything so offensive, is just going to lead to more goyim hating Jews… Just saying…

Question, why did this guy just now, in order to reply, come to register on a Jewish site to spew hate and why does he say “WE”?
“Itbakh-al-yahood” or neo-Nazi. Hate is hate.

  5. Now to the subject:

If you say, Jews are trustworthy and know how to manage money (like Trump said, in a clip), that is one thing.

But if you insinuate negativity (whether out of jealousy / being lied / knowingly lying) about it. That is exactly what the outrage is about.

  6. The following example, i think Trump spoke from experience, that he preferred Jews. But it wasn’t antisemitic in my opinion.

“I have black guys counting my money. … I hate it. The only guys I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes all day.” (USA Today, May 20, 1991)

  7. SHOCKING ?? unfortunately not anymore. hater keep their hate in when it is not acceptable, once it is, the real face is revealed.

  8. A positive aspect includes for example, the following:

America’s Jewish Community Leads in Per Capita Giving, – Non Profit News. Nonprofit Quarterly, Dec 16, 2017.

  9. ToShma – where did you go for midwinter? How much does your coat cost? How much did you spend or child’s 13th or 12th birthday party? How many people did your father in law evict this past year? I can go on and on.

  10. “The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous.”
The idea that Joe Rogan and Ilhan Omar are not into anti-semitism is ridiculous.

  11. BobbysforJ:

I do not go on mid-winter vacation. Neither I nor my father-in-law own apartment buildings. I do not own a car. But I ask you: Do non-Jews not go on vacation? Use their money to buy new cars? Throw their children birthday parties? Do non-Jews allow their tenants to live rent-free?
Yes, of course – it is incumbent upon every Yid to make a Cheshbon Ha’Nefesh. But your comments are way out of line, and out of place. It is unclear if you are a non-Jewish troll or a self-hating Jew, but kindly keep your unwelcome and inappropriate comments to yourself.

  12. Bobbysforj,

How much do you spend every Saturday going out?

How much do you spend on a sweet 16 party?

How much do you spend on your beers? Super Bowl party? Sports games?

Believe me if you have kids you’re not spending money on school non kosher food is a lot less than kosher food don’t have to spend a thousand dollars on Passover
How much is your holiday tree anyway?
