Minister Aharonovich on Police Emergency Call Recording

mishMinister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich told the media on Wednesday 20 Sivan 5774 that accusation of police mishandling the critical emergency call from one of the abducted youths last week were being investigated.

The minister said “I listened to the tape and it was very difficult to understand”. He added that at sometime in the future, the tape will be released to the public to hear.

He tried to reassure the public that “if mistakes were made, they will be addressed and I believe the necessary conclusions will be drawn and appropriate actions taken”.

Police Chief Yochanan Danino is under mounting criticism as it appears the police ‘100’ emergency dispatcher failed to properly address the call for assistance made by one of the boys shortly after being abducted. It appears that mistake may have delayed IDF and ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) involvement for as many as 6-8 hours.

  1. The more you try to get clean the more guilt you put on yourself, who gave out the rumor of what is said on the, its not the kidnapped boys or the kidnappers, its your own officers that are upset with the dispatcher, so how can you say its not understood. He who feels he can make a fool of the whole world is only making a fool of himself.
