The IDF on Monday entered day 11 of Operation Brothers Return, with commanders hinting the operation will continue until the captive youths are located. IDF officials are growing more concerned as they have covered a considerable portion of the Hebron area where the search is focused and still no sign of the boys. Lacking any information to indicate otherwise, the assumption remains that they are alive.
Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon complained to officials in the Prime Minister’s Office, informing them “Hamas summer camp continues in Israeli jails”. While the cabinet announced it was worsening conditions for imprisoned Hamas terrorists, Danon says they are still watching the World Soccer Cup match, still enjoying canteen privileges and still using their cellular telephones.
The cabinet recently decided to take away many if not most privileges enjoyed by imprisoned Hamas terrorists immediately, instructing Minister of Public Security Yitzchak Aharonovich to see to carrying out the directive. It would appear that for now, the terrorist imprisoned in Israel continue to enjoy a far higher standard than is likely being given to the young captives.
Kfir Brigade soldiers continue the search for the captives:
