MK (Bayit Yehudi) Ayelet Shaked, who ranked atop of the other contenders in the party primaries, sent an urgent letter to French Ambassador to Israel Patrick Maisonnave in which she calls on his country to ban a performance affiliated with the ultra-left-wing B’Tselem organization.
B’Tselem is infamous for its photos and video footage depicting IDF soldiers in a negative light. B’Tselem often cooperates with enemies of Israel by providing information pertaining to what organization leaders’ view to be the “illegal communities throughout Yehuda and Shomron”, and “the activities of the occupational IDF forces operating throughout Yehuda and Shomron”.
Regarding the show heading to tour France, it will contain photos depicting IDF soldiers in a poor light. The show elicited much anger in Israel as photos taken of IDF soldiers in action are twisted to show the army in a negative light. Due to the outrage in Israel, the exhibition was cut short. Angered and pained bereaved parents were unwilling to remain silent.
Shaked is calling on France to cancel the show before it begins, explaining B’Tselem turns around the facts and shows the terrorists as the victims and the IDF soldiers as criminals.
