Yad L’Achim: 1,000s Attended Tefilla to Protest Shabbos Baptism

yadl21According to officials in Yad L’Achim, Israel Police report 5,000 mispallalim took part in the Shabbos tefilla outside the Ra’anan Sports Center where a large baptism event was taking place.

Yad L’Achim filed an appeal with the Supreme Court on Friday 12 Iyar in the hope of overruling a district court decision to permit the baptism event. The high court however did not overturn the ruling, permitting the baptism. Therefore, a community tefilla was held outside the sport arena in a symbolic protest and a public outcry to HKBH. Among the participants in the event was Ra’anan Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Peretz.

Yad L’Achim adds there were hundreds of non-religious participants who felt a need to identify with the mispallalim, opposed to the large baptism event.

  1. The enemies posing an existential threat to the State of Israel are the Islamic nationalists (ISIS, Hamas, etc.), and the seculars. Christians aren’t a problem. They themselves are increasingly a persecuted minority (consider pending laws to close down Christan-owned businesses being supported by the Democrats in many states in the US under the guise of banning “homophobia”). And very few Israelis are going to be tempted to join a religion that serious impairs their secular lifestyle. However support from Christians, especially in America, is critical for the survival of the State of Israel – and if the US stops supporting Israel, Israel will soon be cut off from western funding, western investments, and be subject to crippling embargos.
