Hundreds of Israelis this week took advantage of the Ichud Hatzalah “Health Tent” which was set up in the Harel Building in Ramat Gan one day this week.

Ichud Hatzalah director Mosh Teitlebaum explains “This was the fourth consecutive year that the tent was offered to the public in cooperation with the Harel insurance company in Ramat Gan”.

Ichud volunteers manned the tent and persons taking advantage of the service were able to have their vital signs taken within five minutes, which for some leads to alerting them to seek medical advice.

Five years ago, Teitlebaum in his capacity as an EMT responded to a call and saved the life of Heshey Samar, who was in cardiac arrest. Teitlebaum was the first responder to arrive on the scene, the victim’s Beit Shemesh home. After CPR and advanced life support including a number of defibrillations, resulting of a return of his spontaneous pulse and respirations.

B’chasdei Hashem Heshey has since returned to his job as an analyst at Harel. He remains in constant touch with Teitlebaum and is always ready and willing to promote the Ichud Hatzalah organization and its ongoing efforts for early detection of possible medical problems.
