Ben-Gurion Airport Thieves Nabbed Red Handed

bgaTwo weeks ago an elderly chareidi couple from Yerushalayim was robbed of their case continuing their official papers in Ben-Gurion International Airport. The couple was planning to leave the country and when they arrived at Ben-Gurion a male offered to assist them with their luggage. They told authorities the man was in his 50s.

After receiving assistance, the couple realized the case with their documents and money had disappeared. They missed their flight as a result. When authorities checked security camera footage they learned the thief boarded a train in the Tel Aviv area and headed to Ben-Gurion. By viewing the videos they learned how he operates and in the most recent footage we see the thief now has an accomplice.

The thief was detected by a member of the security staff, who monitored his actions. This time around after stealing a case from a traveler’s shopping cart police were outside waiting to make the arrest. The suspect reportedly has a criminal past as well.

Ben-Gurion Airport Director Shmuel Zakai praised the actions of security officials in the airport.
