Rabbi Pinto Heading Home Despite Objections from his Medical Team

pintoRabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto is heading home to Israel despite objections from his doctors in New York City. Earlier in the week it was reported the rabbi collapsed on a plane heading to Israel prior for takeoff from NYC. The rabbi is compelled to return to Israel to appear at this trial as the prosecution is unwilling to take his fragile medical state into consideration.

The rav is scheduled to arrive in Israel before Shabbos. He will present the court with a letter from one of his physicians, explaining his condition.

  1. Interesting.

Never saw a doctor’s note that was so full of grammar mistakes and, rather than assess the patient’s medical condition, made it sound as scary as possible. He had some tests run? Big deal. What did they show?

Not only that, saying time and again how sincere the patient is about returning to Israel. Never saw a physician testifying as to something like that, let alone repeating it over and over.

Were I more of a skeptic, I would think the letter is a forgery.
