The bill calling for harsher fines and jail terms for employers and Israelis who harbor PA (Palestinian Authority) illegals has been passed into law in Knesset.
The minimum fine is NIS 5,000 fine for a one-time employment of an illegal and NIS 75,000 or two-years imprisonment for one who provides room and board or harbors an illegal. Repeat offenders will be fined NIS 10,000 to NIS 226,000 and up to four-years imprisonment. The decision is left to the discretion of the courts.
The bill was pushed in yet another legislative response to bring an end to the ongoing wave of Palestinian wave of terror as many recent attacks were perpetrated by PA illegals working inside Green Line Israel.
