Israel Police officials attribute the stormy weekend weather to the 20% increase in motor vehicle accidents nationwide. From motzei Shabbos through Sunday, Magen David Adom reports treating 127 people injured in vehicular accidents in 111 MVAs.

This figure represents an almost 20% increase from the norm, attributed to the snow in the north and heavy rains elsewhere, accompanied with strong winds, making road conditions hazardous and limiting visibility.
