The Jerusalem Planning Board on Wednesday, 1 Rosh Chodesh Iyar, approved additional construction in the Ramat Shlomo and Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhoods of the capital. Planning board chairman, Meir Turgeman told Noam Zeigman of Kol Berama Radio that the committee approved 212 apartments of which 112 will be constructed in Ramat Shlomo.
“I have always argued that construction in Jerusalem is not problematic. It is not beyond the Green Line because Jerusalem is not a Green Line; not Pisgat Ze’ev, not Ramat Shlomo and not Gilo. I am happy that we have reached a point that we do not have to make noise about each construction project in Yerushalayim” Turgeman added.
Turgeman explained “At present, there is no way to stop the process other than a legal process if and when there are persons seeking to stop it”.
