Salmonella The Likely Culprit Compelling A Family Of 10 To Report To Bnei Brak Hospital


Ten family members, adults and children, visited the emergency room of Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak on Monday, 7 Teves, presenting with severe intestinal illness. Three of them were hospitalized in the pediatric ward. The illness began after eating homemade mousse prepared from raw eggs.

The microbiological laboratory at the hospital identified the suspicious growth as salmonella and tomorrow, Tuesday, the suspicions of doctors will be confirmed. For the time being, the family is ill and suffering.

Hospital officials warn the tzibur against eating foods made from raw eggs. The nurse responsible for infectious diseases has reported the cases to the Ministry of Health as required by law.

  1. many years ago I ate from a restaurant in Bnei Brak and got really bad diareha. Not every restaurant is careful with their food. I was sick for 5 days could hardly move except to go to the toilet.
