PHOTOS: Gas Explosion In A Jerusalem Building Leads To Injuries

(PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

As a result of a Tuesday afternoon, 5 Adar, gas cylinder explosion in a building on Dan Street, two persons were injured lightly and transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Magen David Adom reports the call was received at 1:21PM, apparently for the explosion of a LP gas tank on the ground floor of the residential building. EMTs and paramedics treated a man and woman in their sixties, both conscious without visible signs of external injuries. They were inside the apartment at the time of the explosion.

There was a partial collapse of the ground floor as a result. Rescue workers continued operating on the scene to ensure there was no one trapped under the rubble. City engineers will inspect to determine the integrity of the building.
