SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*A bomb was detonated against an Israeli motorist traveling near Maale Chever on Wednesday night in the same area a 14-year-old was injured in an attack last week. No injuries reported in latest attack.

*Sderot Mayor Eli Moiyal calls on the national government not to fooled as a result of a few days of relative calm. Moiyal statement comes following a day in which his city was hit with some 20 rockets.

*DM Barak has approved the delivery of armored vehicles and advanced weaponry to the Palestinian Authority.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*A Yarkon district MDA ambulance was involved in a vehicular accident on Wednesday night near Assaf HaRofeh Hospital. There were no injuries but the emergency vehicle was damaged.

*A Givati Brigade soldier was wounded in another accidental discharge of a weapon, on Wednesday, this time on a base near Beersheva. A Tank Corps soldier critically wounded by accidental gunfire while a soldier cleaned his weapon died of his injuries in Rambam Medical Center on Wednesday.

*Justice Ministry Police Investigation Unit officials recommend an indictment be filed against former Israel Police Emakim Command Yaakov Zigdon, on bribery charges. Zigdon today serves as the Director-General of Tiveria.

*PM Olmert vows to continue dialogue with PA until a peace agreement is achieved.
