Tree Limb Injuries A Motorist Traveling On Israel’s Highway 6


In the accompanying photo, one can see the incident that occurred at about 11:30AM Sunday, June 16, 2019, when a limb from a tree above fell through the windshield of a vehicle traveling on Highway 6 northbound near Yokneam Tunnel.

MDA paramedics were dispatched to the scene and a 42-year-old male, the driver of the vehicle, was transported to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa with injuries to his face and upper body, reportedly in moderate condition.

  1. Highway 6 was built over quite a few graves and many Rabbonim have warned people to avoid travelling on it if possible. Even though it is extremely well designed with lots of state of the art engineering safety features, it has an exceptionally high accident rate. Anyone who travels on it should make sure to say Tefilas HaDerech with lots of kavana.
