US President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to discuss the Iranian threat and other critical matters, the White House reports.
One may recall, a year and a half ago, Trump announced the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal with Iran and in recent months, Iran has begun to violate its commitments under the agreement, boosting uranium enrichment.
PM Netanyahu on Sunday attacked Europe for its attitude towards Iran, saying that “While the Iranians and their envoys are slaughtering hundreds of people throughout the Middle East – in Tehran, Baghdad and Beirut – European countries are in a hurry to grant further concessions to Tehran.”
PM Netanyahu is considering flying to London, where the NATO summit will meet, to meet US Secretary of State Pompeo with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron.
