CAN’T MAKE UP THEIR MINDS: Leftists Protest Against Yehuda & Shomron

Members of the anti-judicial reform Achim L’Neshek protest group seem to change their minds every day about what they’re protesting against, whether it’s the so-called ‘judicial revolution,’ women’s rights, religious freedom, the Chareidi draft, or simply anti-Bibism.

They found a new cause on Thursday morning – Yehudah and Shomron. The protesters arrived early in the morning outside the home of Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich on the yishuv of Kedumim, and showing a total lack of derech eretz, made deafening noises as the residents of the yishuv were leaving to work and schools. Additionally, they blocked Smotrich’s car from leaving the yishuv for at least a half hour, and clashes developed between the police and protesters.

The protesters announced their latest cause, with a protest leader announcing in the microphone that they came to “tell Smotrich ‘Good morning’ and explain that he’s not relevant” and protest against the millions of shekels he’s allocating to Yehudah and Shomron.

  1. Interesting, how on the clip they have a half Aseret Hadibrot.
Reminds me what the Malbim once said about the Maskilim, why they are only makpid on Middos, not the rest of the Torah like Shabbat…
They only got to listen to the second half of the Aseres Hadibros, due to their preparation of “dressing up” (as the Maskilim would do) to the event, they arrived late..

  2. these are NOT protesters, they are provocateurs, and they are out to bother people. Why? they have lost the elections BIG and the left is losing its hold on the country. The hate religious, hate the right, and hate Bibi.
All is fair to them, and that includes breaking the law.

  3. The Israeli left (at least among persons of Jewish descent) are derived from the “Labor Zionists” (i.e. socialist/communist zionists who founded the medinah). They have an intellectual problem. Based on Jewish tradition, and looking at the boundaries of British Palestine, there is no difference in the validity that Hevron or Schehem are “Jewish” cities than that Haifa or Beersheva or Jerusalem. If they object to West Bank settlements, how do they justify not objecting to Tel Aviv or Rehovot or Netanya.

Also note that many of those opposed to Hareidim are secular nationalists who favor Zionist control of the whole of Eretz Yisrael, while also favor minimizing or expelling religious Jews (especially Hareidim). They want a Supreme Court that will allow oppression of both Arabs and Hareidim (unlike the Likud and religious zionists, and their allies, who want to oppress anti-Israeli Palestinians, but no one else).
