Report: IDF Preparing for Simultaneous Wars with Iran, Hezbollah, and West Bank Terrorists

The IDF has been ordered to prepare for the possibility of a simultaneous multi-front war against Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and armed groups in the West Bank, according to a report from Israel’s Channel 12, underscoring how rapidly regional tensions are escalating as Iran is rocked by widespread internal unrest.

The preparations are part of a four-year strategic plan overseen by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir. One scenario under consideration includes what was described as an “explosive operation” targeting Tehran itself, a striking indication of how seriously Israeli planners are treating the convergence of Iranian instability and regional threats.

According to Channel 12, Israeli security officials believe Iran may seek to launch an attack on Israel to divert attention from the protests and prevent what they fear could become a collapse of the Islamic Republic. Israel has reportedly avoided official public statements about the unrest in Iran to reduce the risk of provoking a direct Iranian response.

At the same time, Israel’s intelligence posture has been anything but discreet. The Mossad has openly expressed support for Iranian protesters on social media and has claimed that Israeli operatives are active within the demonstrations—an extraordinary acknowledgment that highlights how closely Israel is tracking events inside Iran.

The protests have erupted amid hyperinflation, economic collapse, and renewed international sanctions, quickly spreading across multiple cities. Clashes with Iranian security forces have reportedly turned deadly, with some demonstrators openly calling for the return of the monarchy overthrown in 1979.

The crisis has drawn in Washington. President Donald Trump warned that the United States is “locked and loaded” to intervene if Iran’s government kills protesters. During Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent visit to Florida, Trump also signaled support for new airstrikes should Iran accelerate its ballistic missile program.

The stakes are already high. In June, the U.S. and Israel carried out joint strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities during an open confrontation, which Trump said was meant to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons—claims Tehran rejected as a pretext for aggression.

Now, with Iran destabilized at home and Israel preparing for war on multiple fronts, the region appears closer than at any point in years to a conflict that could rapidly spiral far beyond its borders.
