ISRAEL ADVANCES JUDEA AND SAMARIA CONSTRUCTION: 576 Housing Units Approved, Including Landmark Chevron Yeshiva Project

Israel’s Higher Planning Council approved 576 new housing units across Judea and Samaria, including 456 units in Mitzpe Yericho and 120 units in the Al Matan neighborhood of Karnei Shomron.

•⁠ ⁠The council also approved construction of a new building for Yeshivas Shavei Chevron near Beit Romano in Chevron.

•⁠ ⁠The Chevron project marks the first time in decades that a development was approved directly by Israeli planning authorities without requiring approval from the Palestinian municipality, following a policy change implemented by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
