Kadima Party Targets Chareidi Community in Election Campaign

Kadima.jpgKadima officials are not ‘targeting’ chareidim in the hope of getting them to support the party, but in the negative sense, addressing the “extortionist ways” of the chareidi community to meet its needs.

While outwardly Kadima continues to express confidence regarding the Feb. 10th general elections, party leaders are aware that a Likud victory is all but certain, prompting Tzipi Livni to concentrate on gaining as many votes as possible in the hope of playing a role in the next coalition government. Party leader Livni has decided to focus her efforts on an anti-chareidi platform, moving with the slogan “Stop Chareidi Extortion”.

According to journalist Ben Caspi, Kadima is also entertaining another slogan; “A Government Without Shas” with a guarantee a Kadima government would not include the chareidi Sephardic Shas Party.
