Solidarity with Shabbos Protestors – Indictments to Follow

arrest2.jpgDozens of protestors took up position outside the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Sunday in a showing of solidarity with shabbos protestors who were being taken to a remand hearing.

Police are indicating that all of the protestors arrested, criminal indictments will be filed against about 12. They are requesting to extend the remand of eight and they are requesting a court order to ban 27 people from Jerusalem for two months.

Police and prosecution officials point out they announced before shabbos they will respond with the full weight of the law against violent protests.

2:57PM IL: As we go to print, YWN is receiving reports that sporadic violence is still taking place in the Meah Shearim area and buses are being rerouted as a result.
