Moderate Jordan Joins Anti-Israeli Propaganda

In an expected move, Jordan’s King Abdullah released a statement warning against the serious consequences that may result from “aggressive Israeli moves against al-Aqsa Mosque”.

During a meeting with visiting PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), the Jordanian monarch on Sunday afternoon released a statement calling upon the international community to take necessary steps to protect Islamic holy sites, as if Israel has or intends to compromise the holy sites of any religion. Jordan’s state-run Petra news agency reported the Hashemite Kingdom rejects Israel’s declaration that included holy sites on Israel’s national heritage sites list. Abdullah reaffirmed his commitment to combat Israeli aggression against Islamic holy sites.

There is no doubt that the signal has been given following the cabinet decision to include the Machpelah and Kever Rachel in the list of national heritage sites, with the PA (Palestinian Authority) and other Islamic nations understanding the relevance, a renewal of Israel’s commitment to those sites, the burial locations of the Avos and Imahos. As such, the Third Intifada has been launched, albeit unofficially, and the Arab nations and international Muslim community is uniting against Israel, the common enemy, seeking to enlist world support against Israel for allegedly compromising holy sites to the Muslim religion.

Interestingly, Abdullah, or any of Israel’s neighbors and allies, including the United States and the European Union remain deafeningly silent when Islamic hoodlums burn Kever Yosef in Shechem and the Shalom Al Yisrael Shul in Yericho, apparently not too disturbed by Islamic degradation of sites holy to the Jewish People.

  1. Exactly how concerned was Jordan for the fate of the graves Mr. of Olives when it was in her control form 1948 to 1967? Hypocrites!!!

  2. does this really surprise anyone. the world frowns when the jew tries to defend themselves or take what is rightfully theres.

  3. Get lost, Abdullah! Stick to your almonds. What about the serious consequences everyday because one has neighboring arab countries all around?

  4. It just happens to be that the only time any religion was denied access to their holy sites in the last 100 years has been from 1948-1967 when the arabs controlled East Yerushalayim. It is not so surprising though that the nations of the world seem to go along with the nonsense and propaganda coming out of the Arab countries now. They could not care less about any holy sites. What a bunch of garbage.

  5. FYI…
The gold-domed mosque in the picture is the so-called “Dome of the Rock”, NOT the “al-Aqsa mosque”.
The “al-Aqsa mosque” is the smaller mosque toward the southern end of Har HaBayit. Years ago this mosque had a metallic silver colored dome, but I guess the arabs, with their multi-zillions of oil dollars will use the mosque as a name for a terrorist organization and to enflame terrorists acts, but don’t want to spend the gelt to upkeep the mosque since the once metallic silver is now a dull dirty gray color.
—Isn’t it interesting that something that is so important to them that they will go to war for it (for a bogus reason) is NOT important enough to be worth a paint job?!?!
I guess painting is not as much fun for them as killing Jews!
