The following is based on a report filed by Channel 10 correspondent Avishai Ben-Chaim, who points out that while Atra Kadisha and others seem to realize the Barzilai Hospital issue has been lost, there are radical chareidi elements using “new yet untried terror tactics” against senior officials affiliated with the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA).

In his report, which appeared on the Tuesday evening news, the chief of IAA security spoke out and detailed some of the threats and terror tactics being carried out against senior IAA officials. Personal property belonging to senior IAA individuals has been targeted, including private yards of homes, vehicles, slashing tires, spreading foul-spreading substances on property and vehicles, and more.

The IAA officials whom have been targeted told authorities that chareidim are responsible, clearly visible taking part in protests outside their homes. An architect from the southern district has received a death threat he added.

One anonymous activist quoted by Kikar Shabbat states “Our mistake was not using unconventional methods and not targeting the officials, their families and their property”.
