BREAKING: Chris Pollak has won a seat on the Jackson Township Council by a razor-thin margin, following a bruising campaign that saw Orthodox Jewish voters overwhelmingly support another candidate, Al Couceiro. Pollak is a proponent of the “Jackson Strong” segment of Jackson society, which routinely blames Orthodox Jews for every conceivable ill in the township.

The margin wasn’t really razor-thin. It was by a landslide. I voted for Pollak because he had a great vision plus 20% of his vote came from fellow constituents who were Jewish. But they don’t count I assume because they go against the grain. I’m glad Pollack has voiced his skepticism of both major parties after leaving behind the GOP. We need more truly independent people like him with actual integrity and not beholden to anybody but his constituents.
