The IDF says an airstrike in Tehran targeting a senior Iranian commander from Khatam al-Anbiya also damaged the nearby Rafi Niya Shul, expressing regret over the “collateral damage”. The military said it used precise munitions and aerial surveillance to minimize civilian harm, adding the results of the strike are still under review.

Iranian opposition sources claim that regime forces had been hiding inside the building, turning it into a target, and that several of those personnel were killed.
