FBI agents arrested Iranian national Shamim Mafi at Los Angeles International Airport last night on charges of allegedly trafficking weapons on behalf of the Iranian government.
Prosecutors say Mafi, 44, is accused of brokering the sale of drones, bombs, bomb fuses, and millions of rounds of ammunition manufactured by Iran and sold to Sudan.
She is expected to appear in federal court in Los Angeles on Monday and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
