HaRav Yaakov Bender Says LBA Leagues is “Way Out of Hand and Meshuga Ofen Kup”

WATCH: HaRav Yaakov Bender, the longtime Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Darchei Torah and one of the most influential chinuch voices in the U.S., says the LBA Leagues is “way out of hand and Meshuga Ofen Kup, and I don’t know why they allow it”.

  1. Very well said, but it’s concerning that it has taken an outside voice to highlight this critical issue. The current state of the LBA is a churban for our community. In the past, children took pride in attending Mishnayos groups; today, they are made to feel like a “nebech” if they do not participate in these sports-centric associations. It feels as though secular/Yevonim influences have deeply infiltrated our machaneh.

I am also concerned by the advertisements featured in The Voice. Many of these ads require significant modification to be accepted in other community magazines. I believe it is time to consider a boycott of the magazine until their standards align with the values of the community that supports them.
