Lamb Piccadillo


This is a little different and a lot good.

2 tablespoons oil

1 onion, chopped

2 pounds ground lamb

1/3 cup green olive rings

2 tablespoons pine nuts

1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes

1 tablespoon cumin

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon allspice

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.  Add onion and lamb and brown.  Stir in olive rings and pine nuts and tomatoes and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat to a simmer and stir in spices.  Continue cooking for about 15 more minutes until flavors have blended.  Serve over rice.
