Pepper Steak


My daughter says this is a delicious weeknight dish, served over rice.

2 pounds pepper steak strips

1 tablespoon flour

½ cup ketchup

½ cup water

3 tablespoons soy sauce

½ teaspoon pepper

1 onion, sliced

1 (4-ounce) can mushrooms, drained

1 green pepper, thinly sliced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl, combine flour, ketchup, water, soy sauce and pepper.  Add steak strips, onion, mushrooms and green pepper and mix well.  Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan and cover tightly with foil.  Bake for 2 hours.
